Celebrate Holy Trinity Sports!
April 2024 - watch for updates!
Holy Trinity competes in the Catholic Athletic Association. The Catholic Athletic Association (CAA) exists to organize and promote the development of respectful, faith-filled athletics through participation in interscholastic sports. This is a league for 5th-8th graders. We are proud to offer soccer, volleyball, basketball, swimming (K-8), and baseball. Learn more about the CAA.
AquaSaints swim team is a Kindergarten - 8th Grade, girls and boys swim team from Holy Trinity and Community of Saints grade schools. This is the 24th year participating with the Catholic Athletic Association (CAA). Our long-time coaches are back for another year as they have witnessed many swimmers move on and be successful at the High School level, many of whom come back each year to volunteer their time to help the coaches work with the kids each season.
Swimmers of all abilities are encouraged to participate - it is a fantastic team for beginner and advanced swimmers!
The swimmers will learn various swim strokes throughout the season, however, this is not considered swimming lessons. All swimmers must be able to swim 1 length of the pool (25 yards) unassisted to participate. Our coaches are happy to help you determine if your child is ready. Most swimmers will also participate in the CAA swim meets at the end of the season, which is an exciting event for all!
You will find more information including registering at this link 2023-2024 AquaSaints Registration. They look forward to another large swim team this season! Registration will remain open through the start of the season.
Our 8th-grade team: Comprised of five 8th-graders, a 7th-grader, and a 6th-grader also enjoyed another fantastic Volleyball Season. They finished their regular season 8-1. With their incredible season, the team was slotted to play in the Class A Division of the 8th Grade CAA Playoffs. This class level is considered the best of all the 8th Grade Schools (nearly 40) participating in Volleyball. This is an incredible accomplishment for this group. In their CAA Class A Quarterfinal match Wednesday night, the girls lost in a thrilling match to St. Agnes in 3 sets 20-25, 25-17, 14-16.
5th Grade Team: The team finished in 2nd place in their CAA 5th Grade division with a 6-3 record (with 2 losses being to the 1st place team). This group advanced in their 1st round CAA playoff game this past Tuesday in a straight-set victory over Holy Spirit. Last night the girls lost a heartbreaker to St. Charles Borromeo in the Quarterfinals in 3 sets 25-22, 23-25, 12-15 to end their season.
Way to go ladies on incredible seasons and representing our Holy Trinity Community!
Competing at the 8th Grade level, the team continually played tight low-scoring games that could've gone either way and came out victorious in a couple of lopsided wins. While most of our athletes are participating in other activities throughout their school week, this team managed to get 8 games played in a span of 4 weeks.
A very fun season for all of them and a job well done representing Holy Trinity!
After a very fun season, the baseball team came up 1 game short of winning the CAA Championship. They were defeated by a very good Highland Catholic squad in front of many fans at the terrific facility, Ford Little League Fields, in Highland Park. The boys thank everyone for the support and cheering them on all spring.
Floor hockey and a Spring Volleyball Clinic were offered Spring of 2023 for students in grades 2-5. Intramurals will be expanded this year, please watch for updates!
*Middle school students have the option of participating in the sports programs at South St. Paul Secondary.
At Holy Trinity, our athletic program partners with 4 His Glory. 4 His Glory is a movement to create a healthy sports culture in our Catholic schools. We believe athletics, when done right, serve as an invaluable tool for developing well-rounded children.
In grade school, students should be encouraged to play all sports. 4HG will equip coaches to ensure kids have fun and get better while keeping a Christian focus. Effort and teamwork are valued above talent and results. 4HG reinforces that the family is central and sports should fit around the family, not vice versa. 4HG will aid principals in the mission of cultivating excellence within their students. The 4HG program will boost the visibility of Catholic schools and be an asset in growing enrollment.
