March Lunch Menu
Last year we made an exciting change to our lunch program and started cooking student meals in-house! We implemented a new ordering system [MealManage] for student meals and received a Minnesota Agricultural First Bite Grant for our lunch program that included a portion for upgrading kitchen equipment (help source foods from local farms). This will continue this school year!
Families are welcome to join students for lunch. You may either pre-order a meal or bring in lunch.
Meal Ordering:
All student meals will need to be ordered through MealManage. Ordering will need to be completed by the end of the 3rd week of the current month (i.e. October ordering is due by September 23, 2022).
If you are new to Holy Trinity you will receive a registration email no later than the second week in August. Once you register you will receive updates and notifications for when menus are posted, ordering deadlines, etc (**menus will be posted by the beginning of each month for the next month). Please make sure to list any allergies to foods your child may have.
In the event that a student forgets their lunch, an emergency lunch will be provided.
Meatless meals will be offered on Fridays during Lent.
Microwaves are not available to heat up lunches at school.
Lunch Program Changes:
The USDA decided not to extend the Pandemic Free Meals for All Students program for the upcoming school year 2022-2023. Due to this change, the following changes will occur this school year in regards to lunch:
Breakfast will not be served in the mornings at Holy Trinity this year.
Lunch prices are as follows:
Preschool lunch: $3.50
K-8 lunch: $3.75
Milk (extra or ala carte): $0.75
Extra/Ala Carte Entree (Protein): $2:50
Extra/Ala Carte Side: $1.50
Extra/Ala Carte Roll: $.50
Fruit of the day: $.75
When ordering meals, for billing purposes, please choose either Preschool lunch or K-8 lunch under al carte ordering.
Lunch Billing:
All billing for lunches will be done through TAD’s again this year. Charges will post the first week of the following month (i.e. September charges will be billed in October) and will be due on the 25th of that month.
Allergy information:
To request that a child be exempt from certain foods, a statement from a physician is required indicating what protective steps the school should take to provide an allergy-free environment for your child.
Free and reduced lunches:
Holy Trinity participates in the Free and Reduced Lunch Program and receives significant financial assistance based on the number of qualifying free and reduced students enrolled in our school. For this reason, if you think your family may qualify, please fill out the application to help the school, regardless of whether or not you choose to utilize the assistance.
We do ask that you return your application to the school office as soon as possible for processing and for MDE reporting purposes. You will receive a response within five business days as to whether or not your family qualifies for free or reduced lunches.
Apply at any time during the year for free or reduced lunches for your children.
You must reapply annually to see if you qualify.
If a family member becomes unemployed or your family size changes, please contact the school to file a new application. Such changes may make your child(ren) eligible.
