Holy Trinity is adding a brand new Room Parent Program!

What is a Room Parent?

A Room parent is a volunteer who helps out in their child's class to support the teacher and create a community for their child's classroom. Room parents help with classroom events and facilitate communication between the teacher and other parents in the class.

Items Room Parents communicate with other class parents:

• Home and School Liason – attend a Home and School meeting (similar to P.T.A.) in October. Share communication from Home and School Co-Chairs regularly (provided for you by Home and School Co-chairs)
• Welcome New Parents - reach out via phone to new parents/families in your class
• Class Parties, Events, &/or Class Projects– planning and recruiting volunteers
• Teacher Gift Opportunities – group funded (birthday, Christmas, Teacher Appreciation, etc.)

Getting Started:

1. Meet with the class teacher and define expectations as well as get updated parent contact information.
2. Introduce yourself to parents with an introduction letter at the beginning of the school year.
3. Reach out to new families.
4. Attend October Home and School meeting.
