Back to School Night - August 29th, 2024
Plan to join us for Back to School night on August 29th! Bring school supplies, and meet your teachers and classmates!
New Families - 5:30-6:00 PM: Meet with Jordyne Furry, our Communications Director for a folder of helpful information, your questions answered, and receive a fun Holy Trinity Swag bag!
All Families - 6:00-7:00 PM: Meet teachers, drop off school supplies, and enjoy a treat on the blacktop!
Handbook & Important Forms
Our Family Handbook can be found on our website under Important Forms. Our Preschool Handbook is also located on the same page. Please make sure you have any additional forms/links filled out by Back to School night. Small updates to our handbook are forthcoming, stay tuned for those.
Arrival - School Begins at 7:55 am- 7:00 am - 7:50 am: B.A.S.E. is available. Don't forget, all students must be walked inside and signed in by a parent. Be sure you registered so you are not charged a drop-in rate! More information on the website.
- 7:40am - 7:50am: Carpool begins. Students are dropped off along 6th Ave. S. per the map. Students will wait on the North playground until the building opens. Dress appropriately!
- 7:50 am: Students enter the building by class from the North doors.
- 7:55 am: School begins and the tardy bell rings. Students arriving after this time will need to enter the office doors and get a tardy slip from the front office.
- Bus - Students who are eligible to ride the bus will board the bus at the assigned time. This takes place near the north end of the school near the blacktop.
- Walking - The school office should be notified of walkers so we can make sure they are approved and know which direction to go after school.
- Carpool Pick-Up - Be sure whoever is picking up knows our pick-up routine! Preschoolers are to be picked up in the back of the school through the alley, next to the playground. K-8 will be picked up along the front of the school on 6th Ave South. All K-8 parents will be given a sign with their last name to be displayed on their dash so teachers know to call their children to be picked up. Please see the map for the pick-up routine.
- B.A.S.E. - Parents will enter the back of the school by the playground to pick up (ring the bell). They must sign students out personally. Be sure you registered so you are not charged a drop-in rate! More information is on the website.
Drop Off & Pick Up Routine
Our plan was developed in cooperation with the South St. Paul Police Department to enhance the safety of our children. A PDF map is available HERE. You will also receive a sign at Back to School night with your last name to place on your windshield during pick-up time.
B.A.S.E.
BASE is our Before & After School program! Parents will need to sign up online for the care they will need each month. Details on the program can be found HERE.
Bus
Families living within the South St. Paul school district may be eligible to ride the bus to school. Please contact Erika Ryan for further information or to coordinate transportation. [email protected]

Inclement Weather
All unscheduled school closings, late starts and early dismissals due to severe weather will be communicated to families by text and emailed via Educate for grades Preschool-8th grade. Holy Trinity School closing will also be announced on social media, namely Facebook and the local television station WCCO. Please click on the following link: https://www.cbsnews.com/minnesota/school-closings/.We understand that families come from different cities and respect any parent’s decision not to send their child(ren) to school. If you choose to keep your child home, please notify us directly at [email protected] or call 651-455-8557. Messages will be forwarded to the appropriate teachers.
Lunch & Breakfast
All breakfast and lunch meals for students K-8 will be free of charge! This does not include Preschool meals. The only families who will need to order meals ahead of time will be Preschool families via a monthly Google form that will be sent out. K-8th will not need to order meals ahead of time for their student(s), as we will have enough meals for all students daily. Menus for both breakfast and lunch will be sent home at the end of each month for the next month, and will also be available on our website. If a student forgets their lunch, a hot lunch will be provided. Microwaves are not available to heat lunches at school.

Uniforms
Phy. Ed. Uniforms
Our uniform guidelines can be found K-5 HERE and 6-8 HERE. Our uniform provider is Donald's Uniform in St. Paul. During the winter months, the only warmer layer a student is allowed to wear in the classroom is a school uniform sweatshirt. Approved sweatshirts and quarter zips are available at Donald's and can be ordered on their website. Students are also allowed to wear navy cardigan sweaters which can be ordered here. Please be sure your child has dressed appropriately for the colder weather with the approved uniform items. Take a look at Donald's Price sheet.
New this year, students in grades 5th-8th will be required to wear a Phy. Ed. uniform. Students will receive one shirt and shorts at no cost, any additional items will be charged to your TADS account - $10 per item. Students will receive their new Phy. Ed. uniforms tentatively the first week of school. If you have not ordered your uniform yet please contact Mrs. Overell - [email protected].
Used Uniform Closet
Please bring any outgrown uniforms to the school office for our uniform closet. Our uniform closet is great for passing down to students as they move up in sizes frequently! FREE: take what you need, bring what you don't!

Home & School Parents play an integral part in the Holy Trinity community. Home & School is the parent group that directs and coordinates parental support for Holy Trinity for educational, social, and fundraising purposes.
Holy Trinity families are required to volunteer for a minimum of 10 hours per year, and Home and School helps create and distribute volunteer opportunities to the community. Contact Deb Cottrell to get involved or ask questions. [email protected].
Required Volunteer Hours
We ask all families to contribute at least 10 volunteer hours during the school year. We invite grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and good friends who have been called to give their talents and gifts and we welcome the opportunity to include them in the Holy Trinity community.
You don’t need to wait to be asked. Feel free to jump right in and make a positive difference in our community! You can sign up on Track It Forward after making an account. Chaperoning a field trip or any volunteering opportunity where a volunteer will come in contact with a student will need to complete the Safe Environment Essential 3 Requirements.
Fall Athletics & Extracurricular Activities
This fall we offer Girls Volleyball for grades 4-8th, as well as co-ed Soccer for grades 5-8th. Learn more and sign up for Hawk Fall Sports! Girls in grades 4th-8th can also sign up for The Choir of Saint Cecilia. Learn more and sign up. Boys, 4th grade and higher are also welcome to become an Altar Server. Newsletter
Once the school year starts, you can expect a newsletter nearly every Friday. Please take the time to read this! There is important information like important dates, news, and much more! You can expect flyers in your student's Friday folders but you should also be checking emails from school regularly.
Friday Folder
Your child will receive a Friday folder. This will be taken home each Friday or the last day of the school week and should be returned the following Monday. This will include your student's school work as well as any important information teachers or staff would like to communicate. Please note, this is not the only form of communication. It is important you check your email regularly for school newsletters and communication. Thank you!
